Additional Opportunities

YOU'RE INVITED:
Getting Out the Vote Forum: Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 5 - 7:30 PM

Kids Voting BC and Erwin High Interact Club students will host a forum on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 5 – 7:30 PM KV school liaisons in elementary, middle and high schools, civics/social studies teachers, high school student groups (Interact Clubs, student government, 4-H Clubs etc.) and their faculty advisors, and other interested parties on building enthusiasm in schools and communities for active participation in the election process.

Participants will discuss the importance of our democratic process and civic responsibility with local officials and then brainstorm strategies to build civic awareness and election enthusiasm in students and adults alike. They will also learn about KVBC's new "green" approach and last year's successful initiatives byErwin High School's Interact Club.

We hope all school districts will be well represented by KV liaisons, teachers and high school students. Supper will be provided.

Please respond/register your group (send your name, school and number of students attending) by email by September 15. Space is limited.
